Senate Bills
(click on the blue links for a longer summary of each bill)
SB871 - Requires children 0-17yrs old to get Covid19 Vaccine to attend any public/private schools, “no exemptions”. This takes away a parent's right to choose what is best for their own children.
SB866 - Lowers the age of consent to medical treatment to age 12 for medical care & treatment.(I spoke to the office of the bill’s author Senator Weiner, and when I asked for his reasoning behind the bill he only referred to providing the freedom for minors 12-17 to opt in for the Covid19 vaccine as being the driving force behind the bill. However the wording of this bill seems to include all medical care - reproductive health(?), Sexually transmitted diseases, etc)
SB920 - Allows the medical board to inspect a doctor or pharmacist’s office & records without the patient's consent, in direct violation of HIPAA laws.
SB1464 - Forces law enforcement officials to enforce public health orders. Doesn't clarify what penalties will be for disobedience.
SB1479 - Requires public schools to expand contagious, infectious, or communicable disease testing and other “public health mitigation efforts” to include prekindergarten, onsite after school programs, and childcare centers.
SB1390 - Censors any social media platform on amplification of “harmful content” regarding medicine, vaccines, elections, and conspiracy theories. Censorship & bullying should never be codified into law.
SB1184 - Allows health care providers to disclose your child’s medical information to school-linked services without parental consent. Again, in violation of HIIPA.
